Just trial fitted another Kustom Grill. What do ya all think!!!

Cool concept

I'd like to see it narrowed a little and fitted
as further back as possible in the opening for me.
Oh, and even up the headlight trims,
its lookin a little cross eyed.

its not for me, but can appreciate the custom/individuality in your work...

i'm not sure what it is... maybe if the vertical & the horizontal peices were more different in size...
or maybe more vertical ones...

love the idea though... (your an ideas man)

I'm not all that fussed with it at the moment. The first trial fit, I had the indicators sitting out on the edge thinking I'd run FJ headlight dress strips down the side of the guard, That's why I've cut the indicators out with the curve.

I've tried it narrower, but it looked too much like an FB lol

The headlights have just been replaced and were just sitting in, So I will have to fit them properly before I drive home tonite.
Matty,
I have left out 4 teeth from the Desoto grill and have more bullets to put in, But I think I'll scrap this grill after Garter Belts'n'Gasoline this weekend cause I have something else in mind for Yamba!!!

I do like to only do stuff that can be bolted on and off, So when the day comes to take it back to stock it will be easy.
I did have this grill in with no teeth for the Australia Day Twilight Rockabilly Rumble and it seemed passable.
OH well I'll come up with something else after the weekend.

I had a similar thought a while ago, but with a 54 chev grill, had no idea on indicator ends though....

I like the "toothed" type grills, looks the shiz...

I'm just wonderin' about the cut mustache mold around the indicators?
With a bit of fibreglass, nicky and a sh!%@ load of filing you could make & pop out FB style EK indicatorless moulds! Worth thinkin' about! Course you'de have to paint 'em the same colour as the body colour.

Alright here's the next reincarnation, Starting with a rear shot for matty

Now this is the new grill bar, remember this is just the prototype and will be perfected along with my photography

The repainted guard came up OK, It still needs to have a polish

Thats all for today, I will include some interior shots over the next few weeks as I prep for Yamba.

love the the rear... (taillights & exhaust tips)
