Surf run to Yamba!!@!!
Howdy Everyone, My family and I are doing a run done to Yamba on the weekend of the 12/13th of April. If anyone would like to join us to map out and stamp the ground before the Nationals. We will be looking at leaving on the Saturday morning and stay over nite. I haven't made any solid bookings as yet but accom should be pretty easy. The reason for this trip is to go through the final stages of organisation and to make sure everything is in place. OH! and check out where we will be staying on the Nats weekend!!!

I know many from our club are staying at the Calypso........... can't wait to join in on this one............. make sure that sun is going to be nicely polished for us - we Mexicans will need a slight thaw in Winter...............

Well Rosco,
We made it there and back, that's the main thing. We were a little distacted by the kids, so didn't really get to see Yamba for any length of time. We followed the proposed observation run,
What fun you lot are going to have trying to find some of this stuff
We drove for what seemed like an eternity and found that we had just done a big circle, Two ferry rides (low cars might have to be careful) Two bridges and OH!! I'll leave the rest for you to find out.
The weather was perfect and I am assured that June is just as beautiful but a little cooler. I didn't even get the photo that I went there for.
The Welcome to Yamba Sign, But I did get one shot at the servo that could go in another post, but I'll put it here instead

And here's another that I cropped

Cheers Theo Z........................
PS. More info will be released next week.

Thanks Theo,
glad to hear the place still exists - there's a lot of work going on with cars at present - trying to make the deadline..............
So, thanks for the heads up - looks as if you Queenslanders are going to send us on another reconaissance mission.......... Tenterfield was great - loved how the town was so obliging........
Ferries?. I've got so much fishoil in my old thing - it may try to dive in and escape.......

Thanks for the comments on the car! But no one picked up that I smashed the front guard and have now pulled the whole front down for repairs.
Rosco,
I glad to hear that you enjoyed the last Qlder nats and so I'd like you to be lead car on the observation run! What do you think?
Yamba is still there and it was ashame I didn't get any photo's.

Theo,
we'd be "honored" to lead one group (to those in the know, you'd be advised to hear of this escapade rather than "live it with us) - be warned! -- the last time we led a group on a run, we lost our way even with clearly marked club maps and our GPS! (those who did the run from Albury to Beechworth will remember the little "back-track" we had to do......).
Looking forward to this, Theo - we may have another family member coming with us - can you advise your "Nats" secretary that I will be in touch to discuss the addition........
I expect you are up to your ears with documentation and mail-outs for the event - can you give me an email address to make contact please.
I did not see your misdemeanor - must have been distracted by your "over-rider" grille - the configuration including the indicators makes it look finished.......
have to go to our meeting, Theo.
thanks for your vote of confidence......
