Anyone interested in a Newcastle get together/cruise/BBQ?

There seems to be a few people on here from Newie so we might as well do something.

I was thinking of maybe down on the Warner's Bay/Eleebana/Speers Point esplanade at a park somewhere. There's lots of BBQ facilities, big carparks off the road and it's away from the rabble in town.

Thoughts?

I'd say some planning ahead will be beneficial.

Maybe just set a date in March and stick to that?

Sunday, Mar 23?

I'm all for it!

March 23rd is easter and we may be going away over the weekend though...

Don't forget about Heddon Greta drive-ins as well. I'm up for a 'saturday night at the movies' pretty much any weekend after the 1st of march.

Check out http://www.drive-in.com.au./ closer to the date for prices, movies and directions.

Looking forward to it!

So how about 'Saturday night at the movies' march 15th?

Keep the theme going and take a 'who cares what picture you see' approach to the evening :)

The there's KK nostalgia fest and Maitland Steamfest to keep us amused before hitting the road to Yamba :D

Sounds sweet.

It's a date.

KK nostaligia will be good as well.

Yamba is, unfortunately, the weekend of my 30th and I'll be otherwise intoxicated.

Matty, check under 'other events' for Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Fest dates and link to website. Will follow up with details for Steamfest later on - was an awesome event last year, with literally Planes, trains and automobiles, Something for everyone!
