Hi all,

Can anyone advise me on the best method of running wiring from the door pillar into the doors There isn't a lot of room between the door and the pillar when closed. I'm sure someone has come up with a fantastic idea for this problem.

Pickies would be good if possible

You can run them through the lower hinge on the door and on the outside of the hinge to body, I attched my speaker wires this way and looks pretty tidy. Just glued them onto the hige with Locktight 406.

Cant remember what car it was that I saw this but it had a rigid piece of curved tube that was fixed to the pillar and slid in and out of the door as it opened and closed.
The wires were inside the tube of coarse!
You may have to experiment before you drill any holes to get the motion right.

i've seen advertised somewhere a setup where they kind of plug/unplug in a terminal setup as you open/close the doors

An easy way to hide the wires is to weld a piece of tube to the back face, or bottom edge of one of the door hinges.

Check all clearances before hand for the best position. Sometimes a little filing of an edge is needed for clearance

I use this method on almost all the cars I have to do this on.

Another Idea I have just seen,
Contact switches on Toyota Tarago side doors, the 1 we just had in the shop had a 4 switch connection, camera is not here so I could not take a photo.
There little black connectors with flush brass contacts, held in with 2 screws.
