Commercial spare wheel door latch replacement

This is a bit of info I thought I’d share that I picked up from a fellow I have been swapping a few parts with. John Finch has and has had some nice FBs going well back in Melbourne area.
$18 at cunning’s this arvo.
The escutcheon? is slightly too big for the stock hole but mine is rough anyway so filed it out a bit with small bastard. I will fill the top and bottom.
and the back. 
I would still fit an original if I had a choice but they are getting hard to find.
Original for comparison. I will probably put the modified one on my van.
