Commercial spare wheel door latch replacement

Post by Errol62 »

This is a bit of info I thought I’d share that I picked up from a fellow I have been swapping a few parts with. John Finch has and has had some nice FBs going well back in Melbourne area.
Image$18 at cunning’s this arvo.

The escutcheon? is slightly too big for the stock hole but mine is rough anyway so filed it out a bit with small bastard. I will fill the top and bottom. Image and the back. ImageImageImage
I would still fit an original if I had a choice but they are getting hard to find. ImageOriginal for comparison. I will probably put the modified one on my van.

Excellent idea.

The keyhole will tend to fill up with all kinds of crap... a small bit of Blutack spread over the top will keep it out (and easy to remove).

Cheers,
