Interior vinyls and lining

Post by FJWALLY »

Hi All - About to re-trim the seats, door cards and head lining.

Is the exact vinyl available anywhere? I have a ute red with grey inserts and red cards with the light blue/grey headliner.

What do people do?

If I can't find correct match I will probably go for a leather seat

Seen the Supertrim coburg head liner but it's much lighter and different pattern
You will find me lost somewhere!

You can get it but you need to be patient ...... have a search on here and you will find the details of the mob in the USA who reproduce the material.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Get out to Daleys, they have a big range of vinyls you can have a look at. If you are in Melbourne Novatex might be an option too.
Roof linings are a little more difficult, there is a local repro of the star pattern rooflining and I think it is in two colours. The pattern is slightly different to factory being a consistent pattern of the same star when factory was more random with at least 2 different types of star.

Adelaide based motor trimmer supplier. They have a website. Got some vinyl there for my sedan to repair original rear seat back top which had dried up from too much sun. It was a perfect match for the slightly faded plain red vinyl. VHT vinyl paint eliminated any inconsistencies. Wife's sewing machine has never been the same though. Oh oh!

This place is a LAST resort and only if you are desperate!
Whilst their quality is good and have never not delivered, time frames are atrocious! and it makes no difference if you are a personal shopper or trade like I am.
