Rear door quarter window rubbers

Post by Trev »

It's amazing to me how many rubbers you don't get in a rare spares "full" rubber kit.

Where do I get these rubbers?

Sorry I can't help ya mate, but I was hoping that you could help me and possibly others who are also looking for them- I gather you will be cutting and shutting these rubbers, would you be able to post up photos of the different sections with dimensions when you do so we could try and match them up with an alternative please ??
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Pretty sure the FE FC openings are different. Anyone got the master parts catalog to hand?

I think FE/C are different from the skin up ? They rear quarter window is more squared off - but if the rubbers are available they may be able to be modified to suit ???
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Rear quarter window rubbers: A few months ago I had a really good look around, and an ask around....no luck.

http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... =5&t=22478

I did end up speaking to Rare Spares head office. As you probably know, the "tool" used to make these rubbers broke and needed replacing. They quoted me 28th December 2016 for resupply. Might be worth a follow up.
Quote: RRQS117 and RRQS118.

Of all my original rubbers I've nearly replaced them all, luckily these two were the least perished and have remained, for now.

Good luck

Spoke to Rare Spares again yesterday.

28th December date has "blown out" and they have no idea when they will be available at this stage

G'day Trev,

Are you still after a left hand (passenger's side) rear door quarter rubber? When I bought my Rares rubber kit (couple of years ago now) it had these rubbers in it. I've fitted mine, and from memory the old ones were pretty good. I'm home again next week, and can take a look through the spares department if you still want one.

Cheers,
Harv
