WTB - FB regulator and generator - 138 grey

Post by Woody01 »

Hey guys,

Chasing a factory regulator to suit my FB, also chasing a generator to suit the grey motor aswell.
I'll have to get my old man to pick them up, he's in Mandurah. But I'll tell him to go for a drive if he has too haha

Let me know if you have any laying around!

Cheers
Woody

I don't have any laying around Woody - do you need Bosch or Lucas ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I'm not too sure, how do you tell?
The original has been replaced at some point. Old man took it to an auto sparky and he diagnosed it as the regulator.

The generator has also been rebuilt at some stage, so thought have a spare would be handy.

Not that keen on changing to an alternator, my preference is to run a generator

Hey Woody,

There's one on the old grey you gave me. Do you need it in Dampier or Mandurah? If Gaz can't get you one, I can drop it off to Mandurah on the way to the airport on Monday or pop it on the bush courier to Dampier.
Cheers

Howdy Blacky, Yeah still kicken, just!

Been a pretty wild last 18 months though. Took some time off work and did an owner / builder house extension. Packed the Mrs & kids off to the camper and got into working some pretty long days, got the house back to lock up and moved back in, still with crap everywhere. I went back to work, trying to finish it off on days off but struggled for time, then got made redundant so had more time off but no money. Just really bad timing I suppose.

Anyway, the work's been coming a bit more consistently for the last few months so getting back on track. Even managed to get the old FB out the other day from under all the timber and other building crap in the shed. The shed's almost starting to look like a workshop again and not a builders sea container.

Hopefully I might make a club run or two this summer :D
Cheers

Hey Jason,
I would need it in Mandurah. What time are you passing through? I could get the old man to meet you on the freeway turn off or something to save you detouring too much?!

Sounds like you've been flat out mate, so just when it suits, I think the regulator is the main issue, so I'll keep searching for one of them!!

Cheers!!

Woody, you need a Bosch reg for a Bosch genny , or a Lucas reg for a Lucas genny , they don't interchange .......

Jason , sounds like you have been busy ! We are planning on making a weekend trip for a show down your way this summer seeing as the Geraldton weekend was such a success , let me know if you hear of one that will suit ?

No worries Woody, the generator is black so I'm thinking Lucas but I'll check today and get back to you. I have a few regulators kicking around so I'll see if I can get a matching pair.

Roger that Blacky, they're trying to get a local car club going so I'll contact them and see what they've got planned over summer.
Cheers
