Went for a drive to Horopito Motors
Last weekend went to Horopito Motors (Smash Palace).
The Father in Law and I, set off heading to Palmerston North for the annual swap meet / hot rod show.
We set off a day early, and spent the full day roaming and digging going through all the wrecks at Smash Palace.
My eyes were on the look out for FB / EK and Tony (F.I.L) was on the look out for any thing FJ.
It was my first time there, I am sure a few on the is Forum has been there before but I thought the place was amazing, and had a great day out. It was overwhelming the amount of stuff there.

G'day Blacky,
I felt the same, just stood back and said WOW, WTF, were do I start? have a look on google maps of the shear size of the place, and then google image, its an amazing place, plus there is a lot and I mean a lot of stuff inside.
Next time back from work, I will be definitely going back, its about 2 hours from the house.
I went with the intention of having an easy pick " I will look for this, and look for that" I was so so wrong, it took me about 4 hours just to consume the shear quantity of parts inside, and then we went out side for the rest of the day.
Managed to buy a couple of mementos, got a duel horn set up (high and Low) I rummaged through hundreds of hub caps to pick and nice one, and a square bottle for my windscreen washer (half a pump)
I did feel I needed a tetanus shot after the day, but loved it.
If the place was in Australia, dryer and with Holdens then it would be a paradise.
regards

the big ash fall from Ruepehu a couple of years back apparently did a lot of damage with accelerating the rust there, I haven't taken a good look in ages.
