progress pics of the van

Post by southcoastkustom »

EK61 reminded me I haven't posted any progress pics of my van, so here goes....

There goes the 'flat' washed out paint everyone said I should keep!!

I have since installed front end, rack and pinion, motor, trans and hq discs and callipers but am thinking of changing calipers over to the slightly smaller WB style (less problems with seizing  ).

Will try and take some current pics this weekend, as my weekdays are well and truly consumed with work at the moment.

Cheers,

Cheers Smooth

Hey Ratbox, little wonder you make such great progress with your cars, when you're checking the forum at 5am!

I'm really happy with the colour/ paint, the wheels are changing over to 14x5 and 14x6 chev rallye rims (just picked them up) they have the chromed outer rim and the inner will be red and has half/baby moon caps...they look tuff but period and should fatten the car up a bit with some wide whites... 8)

Saving for CRS drop spindles now
not too shiny thankyou.

Hey DR, Motor s balanced and blueprinted 202 with HP oil pump, mild ('beginners') cam and drive gears. Trans is rebuilt trimatic with stally. Diff will be torana to start, then changeover to shortened VN 10 Bolt with discs down the track.

Hey Ratbox, I'm flattered you like the car, I'm pretty fond of yours also (its a vanners thing... ) It's all coming together quite nicely.

If anyone has 2 front door trims in (dark) red that they wanna sell, drop me a line (want to match in with HR prem low buckets)

Cheers,
not too shiny thankyou.
