Lj diff.

Hi all,

I am looking at picking up a Borg Warner diff for my Ek. It has been modified to suit an Lj torana.
Housing, lsd and gears are brand new.

Can anyone tell me if this sounds pretty straight forward? Assuming that the width will be good as I believe that the Lj housing width is only about an inch or two narrower. Just a bit of welding for mounts I am guessing.

Grand plan is SCC front end and SBC, hopefully 327 if I can track down a good one.

Will be firing off numerous questions once the mods get underway. Love this forum!!

Cheers,
Andy.

one thing i just thought of is if the diff is set up for discs you may have to check some distances

Yes, its set up for commodore discs. Haven't got them yet.
Guessing the distances wont change a great deal though..?

If the diff is too narrow the calipers will hit the springs, I had a BW diff narrowed to Torana specs and the calipers cleared by a bees dick - it would pay to check before shelling out cash , if you convert it to drum you shouldn't have a drama.
