tail light seals

Post by BIGREVNEV »

A mate was telling me there should be a seal on the lower edge of the tail lights & the rear bar, that would explain the holes in the lower edge , does any one bother fitting them , i,ve never noticed any thing listed that suits . nev

There was a rubber flap fitted from new, some guys have made one up , others don't bother.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Never bothered on mine, no one makes a repo one either. I have seen rubber strips an inch or so wide used.

The FE/FC guys have a repro of the two rear bumper bar body seal "end bits":
http://forum.fefcholden.club/index.php? ... ic=16530.0
, to which you can add flat rubber strip and a bit of steel flat bar (as a retainer) to go across the width of the car.

Not sure if the FE/FC "end bits" fit FB/EK though as the part numbers are different (7411557/7411558 for FE/FC and 7412789/7412790 for FB/EK).
