Hi all,
here's the link to the video Belinda did of all the cars leaving on the Saturday (most of them). We even managed to get the truck in there too!

Thanks Craig and Belinda - great to finally catch up with you.... missed the opportunity to have a decent chat....
Downloaded and saved the vid..... have one of my own (couple of laps around the track at Bathurst) - have transferred it across from DV camcorder - and into this machine - don't know how to shrink file size or upload it.... any tips?
frats,
Rosco

Hi Rosco,
yes is was good to finally meet, albeit a short one! I was hoping for a chat and to have a look at your car......there just never seemed enough time to do it on the day. Being our first time entry it was all new to us. Next time we'll be better placed to find time to catch up.
I'm no aficionado on the video thing, all I did was create an account on YouTube and upload the video. I did however use a program to edit the video and convert it to MP4 file, saved it to my computer, then uploaded it. We followed the prompts basically.
Cheers.

Thanks Craig.... just had another look at my vids..... going to have to do something about the diff noise.... had it for over 20 years - not getting any worse... but it sure shows up in the vids....
I'll have a go at opening an account.... I can convert my DV to digital file into MP4..... don't know how big the file size will be - but the first vid of us running solo runs for 8 plus minutes - 1 1/2 laps - Dunlop bridge and back then up to top of mountain....
Second one will be from top of mountain and back - following four other FB/EK's.... sadly, I set the camera for my wife on wide angle - you need binoculars to see those in front at times...... but it cuts down on camera shake...
frats,
Rosco

Ok - follow up on promised video clips from Bathurst..... it's not going to happen, sorry.
We have a dismal Telstra internet connection here within the metropolitan throng of antenna.... lucky to get one bar at best of times....
I managed to shrink both files down yesterday through Adobe Premiere Elements... and opened an account with YouTube....
the upload commenced - with a warning that it would take some 2 hours plus to upload the 11 minute clip...
After 48 minutes, the connection dropped out - and I was offered to start over..... not on your nellie!
I have complained and complained and complained about this blasted black hole in Telstra's coverage - only to be told by overseas "technicians" that Telstra has 97% coverage Australia wide, is aware of blackspots - and won't be doing anything about them as their coverage satisfies the required percentage......
We have traveled far and wide this huge country of ours... and have had 5 bars of signal in some of the remotest parts of the "block"..... but here, in upper middle bogan - where I can literally see the Telstra tower atop the hill not more than 1 km away.... I get one bar.. and it often drops out midway through an upload/download.....
I also have purchased and fitted a 3' antenna connected to my dongle..... which makes not one jot of difference to the signal....
This has all been explained to the O/S technicians.....
They suggested I upgrade my dongle to a 4G..... and I very quickly retorted that I can get 5 bars anywhere else but here..... and.... the neighbors on both sides have 4G equipment yet struggle to get more than one bar......
So, who's got some carrier pigeons..... at least the poor little things wouldn't drop out of the sky, come home and ask me if they should go again.....
Sorry for the rant - just attempting to explain why I haven't uploaded my clips....
