Parcel shelve help

Post by mpeck83 »

Hi everyone,

I have a 1962 EK special sedan that’s been sitting in my garages for a few years now and I starting to look at its full restoration. Someone has butchered the parcel shelve to fit in bigger speakers in and I know this is a road worthy issue and I want to restore the EK back to original, so what are my options to fix this? Is it a replacement parcel shelf or can I get welded up to its original diameter when it goes in for body work and if I need a replacement parcel shelve does anyone have one???

Cheers for your help,
Matthew

You should be able to just weld patches in there ? Post up a pic if you can ...
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I would just jigsaw out the butchered bits and weld in a patch panel ........
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
