Our weekend in Cowra

Post by WayneXG95 »

One of the highlights of my weekend in Cowra was working traffic control on the little wood bridge.
Yep that was me and I was one of the few who got to meet everyone which was very cool!
It's really good to put faces to people from the Forum and Facebook sites. :D

Andrew Harding with the Black FB was on the other side with the photographer.

I hope you all got good piccys

I didn't get a pic of Milkshake or set her up for judging as I decided to just park her early and forget out it.
Actually I didn’t get any pics this year, with 100 cars to walk around judging I couldn’t find the time. :problem:
But wasn’t it a great venue in the park with the trees setting off the FB and EK's? :ewink:

Great photo Reece thanks mate.. 8)

Wasn’t it awesome to see so many White and Red FB's and where were all the Black cars?
There were only 2 out of 192 known cars...

The drive was fantastic down the Hume and across from Yass, good weather and Milkshake with
her rebuilt motor just purred along although the fuel consumption was down a far bit with
only 600 miles on it and still running it in... :P

I have to thank Darren Pender for taking my wife Sandi over to the park on Sunday morning, got me out of the shit that did.
Andrew and I were only asked to do Traffic Control the night before and she wasn’t interested in getting out of bed at 6am!

As I didn't put the twins back on Milkshake when we replaced the gray and had already entered her in the sports section
I nearly choked on me beer when she nailed a 3rd didn't expect that. Thanks to the people who voted for her...

You probably meet my wife Sandi while she was harassing ya to buy FB raffle tickets on Sunday night.
It was her 1st Nats and she had a great time there so I'm hoping she will be at Hervey Bay.

At the present unless something happens out of my control will be going to Hervey Bay but unsure if I will be taking one car or two.
Still have to work out the logistics on that...

Till next year guys..

P.S I have it on good authority that Russell Cooper isn't going to Hervey Bay so next years your big chance...

It's a good job that one. Glad to hear Sandi had a good time.

Milkshake was impressive, Wayne..... just sweet!

Ummmmm..... forum names on tags.... think this might be a "must".... I had absolutely no idea from who most of the hundreds of people we met - were/were not on the forum... or who their forum names were....

Around 10 nats or so back... there were probably just a small bunch of us.....
Back then, most introductions were club based and interstate meet-ups were at Nats... if I'm not wrong - the first public group airing of forum members was at Forbes.... and only a handful of us went up on stage...

With the forum membership having grown to huge numbers - and better still, many attending Nats - I believe it warranted that those wishing to declare their forum name on Nats tags - should be given opportunity to enter the details on the entrant's form.....

Of course, I could simply have made suggestion of this to a NSW committee member at the welcome dinner - and I'm sure a couple of felt tipped pens could have allowed us to "tag ourselves" on the name tags issued at the sign on..... hindsight is a wonderful thing.....

Sorry to swamp your thread, Wayne..... this came to mind when you announced yourself as being the show'n'shine vehicle recipient....
