Split in PBR VH 40 diaphragm

G'day all,
had my brakes go hard in the pedal and the engine run rough yesterday?? It was what I though..a split in my PBR VH 40 brake booster's diaphragm.
With some help from Spaceace and a mechanic mate (Gaz at Kings Point Automotive) I was able to get an new diaphragm sent..(unfortunately it won't arrive here until Monday
). So I have done a 'get-me-out-of-trouble' fix, this is good to know for those with these or the VH 44 booster on drum brakes ... Once I had undone the front mount nut ( 1/2") & slid off the small vacuum line on the booster body , I undid the screw & nut off the outer locking ring an so to get to the large diaphragm and prized it off the center of the plunger. (see diagram).

once I found the split (luckily around the outer rim of the diaphragm) I cleaned the split and glued it together with super glue. then put the whole lot back together..and it works!
Now remember this is only a temporary fix until I get the new one on Monday.. but it should get everyone else out of a roadside brakedown... (Pun intended).
