FB Grill Tabs

Post by kel3629 »

Hi All

No doubt this question has been asked before but I cannot find anything on the forum

Is there a successful way of attaching the grill bars when the metal tabs have broken off? I am not using the vertical chrome trims between the grill bars so I want some way of doing it that will not be visible from the front.

Thanks in advance

Perhaps you can lay your hands on some scrap stainless trim, cut out some tab style shapes and spot weld them to your bars. Or better still butt-weld new tabs in place where the old ones broke off with a TIG. That would tidy up better, so as you'd never notice the repair.
