Metal Shaping Classes

Post by Woody01 »

Hey guys,

Mentioned this idea to a few already, but thought I'd throw it up and see if it gets much interest?

There's a guy in rockingham, that runs metal shaping workshops. From reports I have heard it seems to be pretty good, but I have not attended one myself.
I think the price is roughly $200 per person and runs for a full day.

More information here: http://www.thehammerworks.org

**maybe if there is enough interest, we could get him to run a class just for the club? If it generates enough interest and can go to him with solid numbers, I will drive to his shop and have a chat, and go from there.

Cheers
Woody

Four people have said they are interested so far...including myself. I think it says a minimum of 5 per class.

If we can't get our own FB EK club class, how does the one in February sound? Or what date would suit everyone best here? (See the website for class dates)

Hey gents,

Some good news!

Went and saw Clive at Hammerworks today. He agreed he will do a class just for the club!
He needs 4-8 people to make it happen, so we have that already.

He is on holidays until January 10. But he said to work out a date (for a Saturday?) after then and we can go from there.

So throw some dates at me!!!!!!

I'm thinking:

25th January 2014 (Saturday)
Or
8th February 2014 (Saturday)

Cheers

If everybody is happy with the 8TH OF FEBRUARY , I will send off an email to Clive on Monday 23rd, to try and get it locked in for that date.

It would be good to get a few more members on board - make a good day of it. You still got a few weeks to save for it. So throw your names down!!

When I went in there there the other day he showed me some of the jobs he had on the go, and talked me through some of the things you will get from the class.
He had a hand made a rear drivers side quater for a HQ 2door he was installing...pretty impressive
