Is there such a thing as a dry speedo.

Post by Marko »

Hi guys,
My speedo occasionally makes a dry bearing type noise from the instrument cluster. I have just fitted a new cable from Rare Spares, Capalaba. The noise usually turns up around 50mph onwards and sometimes goes away on de-acceleration. The car has been off the road for 12 years, just started driving again.
Any ideas???
Thanks Mark

Mine does the same, mainly on cold days. It comes and goes. Throw a dollop of grease on the gear and it should be fine
