Don’t you find it Funny that after Monday(M) and Tuesday(T), the rest of the week says WTF?
Yeah searsy looking at a alein retro colomn ek auto top half and a collapseable bottom half
or another colom auto colomn that will work but would like to run the fb steering wheel
also know of another bloke who is doing the ek top / commodore bottom at the moment he's just trying to get them engineered
for production same as the alein ones just trying to find out if i need a certain type of trimatic as they have linkages on different
sides of box i think

not seeing any of the above colums but I think they make it so it hooks up cable operated, a mate had an EH one done and it was cable operated so it shouldn't matter what side the selector is on the gearbox IF they are set up for cable
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping
Not sure on how the alein ones work Mick need to do more research on those
could i use a HT colomn shift auto colomn
with the same linkage set up as a 6cy trimatic surely there wouldnt be that much difference between
a v8 trimatic and a 6cy trimatic
just done some research and looks like cable is the way to go
some of the ididit colomn's use a cable set up
could probably make one up easy enough not that hard or you can buy a kit from them
i still reckon you could use a normal linkage set up though but a cable takes up less room
yeah that would be the issue jay room, not sure what the other colums have but the one that a mate had in his EH with the cable where the cable connected to the colum was actualy on the inside of the firewall not on the engine bay side
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping
Don't forget to take into account cable v's electric kick-down when you're planning your set-up. I went electric when I put a traumatic in my EK ute because I relate better to wiring than cables. It also meant I could mess about with the carby and stuff without worrying about an extra cable.
