Australia day Rally

On Australia Day (Saturday 26th January) this year, the Bayside Vehicle Restorers Club will organisone of Queensland's largest rally's for historic and classic vehicles.

The event attracts up to 500 + vehicles ranging from the early 1900s up to the late 1970's. There are usually cars, motorbikes, trucks and busses of every make on display at the Ormiston School Grounds from 7.30am on Australia Day. (enter from Wellington St or Dundas St East Ormiston)

Entry is open to all enthusiasts of old, and classic vehicles
Entry is free
To enter just turn up on Australia Day
All the crew in your vehicle get a Free Breakfast
Free tea or coffee is provided to all entrants
Magnificent vehicle display
Fantastic vehicle runs
Free Rally Bag gifts for all entrants
Great raffle prizes
All Proceeds of the Raffle go to the Sailability Charity
Supported by the Redlands City Council & the RACQ

The day starts from 7.30am with breakfast, tea and coffee and the opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket to support the Sailability charity. Serving the free BBQ breakfast will stop at around nine am, however the free tea and coffee will be available all morning. After breakfast spend the rest of your morning looking at the display of around 500-600 classic vehicles parked in the grounds of Ormiston State School grounds and completing some automotive & Australiana quizzes. A Brass Band will be playing Australian tunes to add to the days enjoyment.

Buy some raffle tickets for a chance to win one of dozens of prizes worth over $2000. All the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Sailability a local charity enabling disabled people to Sail on Morton Bay.

Enjoy your morning tea at the school grounds. At about 10.15am leave on one of the several interesting drives (rally runs) visiting some of the Redlands tourist spots. The runs will all finish at the Alexandra Hills Hotel were entrants can enjoy the rally lunch and a drink for about $10.00.

To be part of this run just come along in your vintage, historic or classic vehicle between 7.30am and 10.15am at the Ormiston State School in Wellington Street, Ormiston on Australia Day.

I'll be there. our first lazy club run of the year,we let someone else organise it.check out their web site for more info.

It sounds like it might be a wash out. forecast flash floods. I don't think the vac wipers could handle that.i'll decide on friday night if i'm going.
