Anti freeze anti boil for a grey

Post by John »

Just wondering how many use anti freeze in their greys and what type do they use?
I am only running water at the moment but before her first real drive she,ll need something I suppose.
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital
ingredient in beer

Well I use Castrol Antifreeze/Antiboil it is a concentrate, have used it for years in all my cars everything from windsors, flatheads, my wifes Mazda and my current grey motor

Have never had a problem with the product and just check the coolant with test strips to monitor it to see when its ready to be changed.

BUT having said that when I first started driving I rarely heard of anyone using antifreeze, I still can remember my old dad covering the front of his work ute's bonnet with an old horse blanket and he used one of mums tableclothes across the windscreen the first winter after he built our house (carport wasn't finished)
