Whats the best brake fluid to run for the EK Drums?

"WOOFTO stopomatic 4000" is the preferred fluid for these old girls , but if you cant find any of that , try normal brake fluid , not silicon based unless you are changing all your seals etc to suit .
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Use DOT 3, 4 or 5.1 because they are glycol based and compatible with the rubber components in your brake system. DOT 3 is fine, and the only difference as you go up to 4 or 5.1 is that the boiling point increases (as does the price).

AVOID DOT 5 :shock: DOT 5 is Silicon based and your rubber bits will immediately swell-up and become bloated and squishy, like a fat woman eating donuts.

Cheerz Allan,i have been using Dot 3 for years but thought there might be something better out there.i was under the impression that anything above Dot 3
was for newer brake systems.
