1st River City Coupe and Roadster Reliability Run

Post by Devilrod »

Well last weekend I got an invite to attend a very special event, the 1st River City Coupe and Roadster Club's reliability run. Based on the US version from the 50's entry criteria was very slective, nothing past 1936, traditional styled Hot Rods. Half the events organizing committee's cars didn't even make the cut. It was sensational, best run I've been on in a hell of a long time.

We started out at Essendon Fields, then headed off up the Hume, cruised through Whittlesea, Kinglake, Yarra Glen, Lillydale, up over Mount Dandenong then down into the Basin finishing at Como Gardens. Anyway enjoy the pics...

Cool cruise. Would have looked awesome see all of those old rods cruisin through the hills. What a way to spend a day.

What looked reallly good was pulling into the checkpoint at Yarra Glen, cars everywhere!
