You're onto it Devilrod
Built in the late '80s - first retitled in 1987. 327/T400 , Camaro diff , later model drum front .
All GM parts , no Frod bits
Apparently the manifold and carbs are off a '61 Corvette and are quite valuable , if thats true I will probably flog them off and fit a single carb . I am going to try for A class rego so I can leave it LHD, if that doesnt work I have a Cortina power rack lying around and if that doesnt work I also have a Jag front end - these model Chevs are super easy to fit a Jag front and they are Chev stud pattern as well.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Nice car. I heard a guy took dotars to court over a heavily modified 61 corvette. The court ruling allowed it import approval. The only thing 61 on it was the body.
This is a precedence for these moronic new rules.
Blacky, Bob Mummery was a big importer of chevs in Melb. in the 80's & 90's.
He brought in a mint one with skirts the lot. Same model, same color. It won plenty of trophies for a while. Im sure you'll find it in old Custom rodder mags.
These sure look awesome especially compared to the plain aussie 4 door ones
