EK Ute another for WA

Post by WesternWagon »

Picked up a new ute today, drove it to Mandurah it drives a treat. Little play in the steering ,but otherwise runs like a clock.
Keeping this one stock quick polish maybe a fresh lick of paint in the winter months see how I go with the wagon.
The inner tray needs some attention so that will happen first.
For Steve
No chassis no on the clip?
Body EK2106-2175M
Trim 528-983
Paint 585-9892

hey Gazza.......did'nt pick that one up from Rick as well did you :?:
Looks like it came from the same property as our wagon
Could pass as twins looking from the front!
" A little play in the steering" is what the EH does really well......hence us wanting something with a HR front end!

A good looking rocket, hopefully see you on the road. 8)

All the best with the old girl................Bob

Gave the ute a quick cut & polish today came up a treat

I think one more good polish and a bit of touch up paint on the lower gard sould do.

Will blast and fleck coat the iner tray and replace the timber as its shot.

Great fun to drive, (needs to be lower)

Cheers

Gazza

WOW Gazza................amazing what a bit of polish and elbow grease will do!
"Needs to be lower"
I know what ya mean. Got the Wagon booked in for a set of "Super Low" 2 1/2" front springs from W.A. Suspensions.
Will leave the rear end as is 'cause it should drop pretty low with a full tank of juice, luggage and our vintage caravan attached, once we fit a towball.
Gotta catch up with Rick and get the full history of the Wagon, may be an eastern states vehicle as well. Got the thing tinted today, works a treat keeping the heat out, but seems to have taken away that classic look of the old girl :(
RE: drivers side wiper blade in the pics.............drive past a truck did you
Mate..........would be great to catch up for an ale and have the two old girls cuddle up together, the cars that is
Just gotta find a few hours spare sometime this year :(

All the best.........Bob.

Cheers Tim i thought as much

Thanks Bob; let me know how you go I rang around and the lowest I could get was sport low 1.5 inch otherwise it was a custom made $500 plus

At this stage i will just trim 1 1/2 coils of as I have plenty of spares.

I'm sure my springs are coming from W.A.Suspensions.
They have from 1" to 2" lowered springs and can get a 2 1/2 "Super Low" set also.

Give them a call :!:

G Day all

Got some chrome tail light for the Ute in the Quokka today, also some nice over ridders.
Gave them a once over with the josco and they came a up a treat.
Also put in some new halogen head lights, might have to beef up the wiring though.
Hope to start on the inner tray next week replacing the wood ect might make up some polished alloy cargo strips.
Found an alarm system under the old timber in the tray.
Will put some 14 inch rims with a 22mm white wall and then that’s it for this one for now

Cheers
