You lucky bugger Trev. Right place at the right time. I dont think it would hurt to bring it back to its former glory, go a resto. Looks complete too. They obviuosy didnt realise what they were throwing out. I mean really, who would want an old crappy pedal car when you can get electric plastic ones.
Well done.
Dave.

Chase up some front wheels and leave as is. At least for awhile. Do some research Trev and see what they are worth.

That looks like to me an original Austin A40 pedal car!! If so, repair only what you need. Do not restore. You may have scored big time Trev

Im in the dont restore it camp.
Years of history in it by the looks.
If its restored it will be just another restored pedal car.
Did you get any history on it from the old couple?

Great score all right. If you do decide to restore it at least you can get
replacement decals.

It would be interesting to know if that rego was from a full size car.

Just needs lowering

Thanks for the link Rob.
I think the only way to lower this would be to put smaller wheels on it

I had a Austin J40 a few years ago. The bush fires that went through my place then burnt the shed down that I had it in.
You shouldnt have too much trouble getting the right set of front wheels for that cyclops.
Id probably leave it alone. It has a great patina.

That would have hurt Dave. Yeah I got a bit excited until Fatboy identified it

Didn't know Cyclops made them.
It's amazing what you find at the tip at times - I've even found money that has been thrown out.
