I only had to patch the spotlight hole in the little ute roof and found warpage an issue. I figure the roof is one of the most important panels, specially if the car will be low. Therefore i spent more time and effort relative to size and complexity than any other panel. It was the first panel I tackled and turned out the best one on the car, but yes there is some filler in it. I'm sure you will get a good result.

I would expect to use a full tin of bog on my roof haha don’t stress … bog is my best friend. Once it’s painted no one knows anyway hahaha

Patched up parcel shelf

and started working on the rear seat well hole

As I had to cut out half the drive shaft tunnel it was never going to be easy so will do it in a number of bits

Am using what I've got left of the roof cut I obtained. The metal was good, had a curve for the tunnel already started and I was really just practicing for the pan but it turned out ok so will run with it. It will need a number of smaller patches to fill the gaps though.

Also started reading V8EK4us build thread and now feel totally inadequate...

Yeah Dave, that one should only be bought out every Xmas so we don't feel inadequate. There's not much that isn't done and done well in that build. Floor is looking the goods already. If we were to do this all again, I would suggest that between us we get the wider bead roller set (made?), but not worth it now.

I had a pretty good under rear seat section from the sedan I cut up. I can’t remember what I did with it but anyway looks like you’ve got it covered.

Well 11 patches or so and the passenger side rear seat well is all but done. Just some more finishing on top and underneath.

It seemed to take a really long time. At least the drivers side ain't so bad...

Had the pleasure of looking over Orange Betty today. Roof work is spot-on-perfect and the whole car is coming on a treat. Dave is doing a fantastic job on this car. You would never know that he's not a professional. A resto to watch.

Actually, Dave is a busy husband, father and full time employed person taking on resto on top of everything else. So not quite the same as my retired easy going life with time to spare

Yes Brett, most of us are ! I was actually referring to panel shops and the need to get the work out, I know some shops do excellent stuff but normally at a cost.

Retirement, mmmm so close yet so far !
