Needed some metal to form the new dash top so I took the skin off a 90 corolla bonnet , fair $*#@ dinkum I threw it away , There should be laws against using that tin but instead with all our years of wisdom we now create cars with plastic panels that still weigh more than a 57 chevy.
The bonnet metal would have the strength of a sheet of thick cardboard

I've got two more old HQ doors if you need the thicker steel, Harko.

but now everybody knows you have part of a toyota in yor car
after fiddling around with my dash today they aren't made of very substantial material anyway, i'm not customising as such just some peanut put a guage cowl where the speaker grille was and brazed it to the dash and also cut the hole bigger
as i'm not haveing a speaker there thought i might aswell just plate it, i'll use an old FB/EK door or bonnet

I measured it with the micrometre today and there was bugger all difference in the thickness but the rolla bonnet is like tin.
So in all honesty I could use the Holden Nova (corolla) material but then Ive got the toyota accelerator pedal already too.
Im actually not biased to the older rice burners theyre built well , better than any bommodore.
