I bet you didn't run a tap up those threads before you installed the sway bar Brett.
You can mock the exhaust up to an extent by fitting left gearbox mount and exhaust bracket.

You would lose that sheep station Clay

. Every captive thread on the car has been cleaned after painting before use. Best investment was a set of taps and dies of the common sizes. And anti sieze was used on every nut and bolt to make is easy for the next time. Before FB/EKs I had a boat- you learn.

Any one got any pics they could post that shows the front bumper position across the top of the stone tray? I'm not sure if it should be level with the top of tray or higher and how far out (away from the step on the tray) it should be. Currently level one side and low on the other. Many thanks

Don’t know how much help this will be - it sits about 10mm or so higher then the stone tray

Many thanks Clay. It seems that you and Blacky are about 10mm forward of the step too?

Mine is more like 22mm. Fit at the sides is 15mm. Mine could go a bit closer, say 10 to 15mm would be nice.

Those surfboards reflected in the bumper in the photo I posted could do with a dust off. Six more days 8 (

Bumper on and pretty close to desired dimensions. Annoying defect in middle section chrome that I will get sorted after car is on the road sometime. Was an Ebay purchase that I foolishly didn't fully unwrap when it turned up over a year ago. It was a good price though.
Next job installing striker plates. I've read the manual on this job, but not really any the wiser. Happy for any tips and I'll have a poke around the forum in case there is anything there. Door rubbers are going to be a pest on this job I'm sure.

I’m sure you’ll work it out ,but start with them set as low as they go and centre of travel in-out. Trace around striker with lead pencil before making adjustments.
