just some slow day things yesterday

got some stretchy stuff (like balloon material) and made a waterproof boot for between the floorshift and the floor - then the carpet and vinyl boot sit over the top

put some shoulder bolts, wave washers and nyloc nuts on the gearshift connections

ordered a couple of distributor shaft seals to make it more of a fight to install the distributor - the distributor I pulled out didn't have one at all

ordered a harmonic balancer (so I can make use of the removing tool)

bought an electric scissor jack - to add to the collection of jacks around the place

Hi Patrick, sitting here waiting for copper primer to dry before next weld. What does an electric scissor jack look like ?
Another wet Canberra day....

Hi Brett - paint will take a bit of time to dry today

I bought a 3 ton electric jack (probably the same as a 2 ton one but with a different sticker :wink34: )

Oooohhh! That’s worse than my van paddy.

Nice work on the A-pillar. Seems you and Brett and I are all about the same point thinking about the rear quarters above the sill. Unique commercial issue.

I know all modern cars look the same but that’s got to be an Impreza hatch. Rafferty just inherited the family MY07 2.0i Luxury.

Hi Brett .. no problem, you could have left them there - not the first time a thread went off on a tangent (usually pics of grog).

Clay ... here's a recap of mine from last year ... gotta love new bits

After seeing your job Patrick I bought a tube of panel adhesive to use if I can't get torch access. Trouble is I will have to do both sides at once cause I don't think I can keep an opened part used tube. If I replace big pieces of the rear quarter panels, adhesive might be the go for those joins too.

I think the solution to access for spot welding the bottom section is removing the closest piece of the bottom cab rear wall and replacing the floor repair patch after doing the weld- on the rotisserie That's plan A anyway.
