gawd , theres the trouble in everyone helping with decisions , they actually like what is decided .
Id like my car to be individual Gaz and Im hoping you do too .
All these modifications to end up looking like yours
We should put this to a poll
Those in favour and those against
Youve opened a can of worms now Gaz

My first thought was - "what's this thing everyone's got about the '50's Buick style flash kits?" - and then I thought "but shite, that looks good!". Nice colour scheme too. Count me in as "in favour" - go for it Gary (but with the grunt).

I'm hearing you Harko, I do like my cars indevidual also that is why I have decided to move away from making it like the Black Beast. When Scotty did the fist pic of yours I went "oh yeah!", then I posted the different ones of yours while thinking about my ute

. I agree that maybe we should pole it.............
differences:
Ute vs Coupe
Stock body (my ute) vs heavy custom (your coupe)
Tubbed & 4 link (ute) vs untubbed
Different interiors
Completely different rear end (my has no fins

)
Color combos
Painted flash vs Handmade chrome flash
Maybe the Sputzmyster can cut sick on the ute with his pen

they're two completly different body styles, you should be the last person complaining about somebody copying yor stuff

not to mention the ammount of times you change yor mind it'll prolly change 20 times before it's finished

my 2 cents worth
I like em both, plus you are thousands of kms away from each other.
Not as if you will be passing each other in the street every day.
Coupe is more of a Kustom where as the ute is more a street machine.
If you build it they will come

Field of Dreams?,,,the "if you build it they will come" bit.
I think everybody should build a car or ute the way THEY want
shit I cant build a 2 door ek cause its been done before,
that would make me a copycat
Just like the hundreds of dudes that have chopped a Merc.
To me it comes down to looks
If something looks good,do it
even if its in your

own eyes
Cheers Jase

I havent copied yours at all Ratbox , put your finger on one thing thats the same apart from it being a coupe ,Like I said yours was inspiration and thats it and no more.
The only ownership I had over the paint scheme is that I racked my brains for well over a year to find a color and style that fits , so yes if you want to use it Gary it is open slather , I will find something else .
and changing my mind - well you have to have it made up before it can be changed.
I agree with everything Mick is saying but trying to build something individual and as much "hasnt been done" as possible is a hard thing , copy all you want after Ive finished it and you see it in the flesh.
look out here comes smooth

yes it's very hard to do something today that hasn't been done before, i really like individual stuff when i had the convertable i remember looking at a hot rod, one of the popular versions thinking i want one of them but then thought don't matter what you do it's been done 100 times before, looked at the convertable and thought there's only one of these
harko it's chopped don't know if you changed the height but you asked how much i chopped mine, 2. pillarless once again asked how i went about it, 3.length of doors once again not sure if you changed but you asked how long mine were, and i'de tell anybody else that wanted to do it there was no copyright on it
there's alot of little differances but basically it's the same thing, i'm not complaining about it i think it's cool what yor doing

IMHO......who cares.........if i was to do something like this....it would be done the way i like it...who cares if it looks like someone elses has already done it.....like what has been already said...it would be quite hard to build something today that hasnt already been done...id take it as a complement if someone coppied my work....
just my two cents

For all we know someone who isn't even a member here could stumble on this or your thread, see the paint scheme and think "that's shit hot"...... and have that scheme on his car in a month from now.
Then no one will have to worry about who copied who..........
