Well with something like this it was either going to be something really big or something really small. Lenny spent most of yesterday playing with it and couldn't get much sense out of it, it ran but what a wild ride!

at the end of the day we spoke and he expressed fears for the motor saying that it may be no good or it may need to be pulled down and inspected. On his way home yesterday he realised he hadn't checked the firing order, so today that was the first thing he did and.... it was out

changed arund the leads and it's now running like a dream! no smoke, no fuel pissing out, no rattles.
What a relief!

Hi Wayne thanks for asking,
I must say I thought I was seeing things when I checked this today and saw my thread near the top!
To be honest life got in the way. The guy I had working on it moved to Qld, we moved house and the most action the fb saw was when it was pushed around when we had to move it. I got pissed off, frustrated, lost interest and was going to clean it up and sell it. Everytime I tried to organise Lenny to fly down and stay for a while to work on it, the plans always turned to shit. Lucky for me I had both Lenny and the wife in my ear begging me not to do it. I had organised for Lenny to come down in Early september and didn't know what I was going to get him to work on. After a big long think I've decided to give it another go with the fb, and Lenny was down for 7 days and worked solely on the fb.
The car doesn't look too different, but he got HEAPS done. Mainly body work (read crap loads of rust repairs) . He also had it running and had a play with my fb ute and had that running too

. Plans for the car havn't changed at all, still gonna be Colleen green with a stock grey etc etc. It was so good to have Lenny back again, I even got on the tools and under Lenny's guidance started cutting rust out and making sections to weld in on a Cortina I have that I want to turn into a couch.
Just gotta save up more coin and get Lenny back as soon as I can, he has given me a list of stuff to do / buy before he gets down again.
Fun times!
