Didn't get much done this weekend

too many people coming over to check out the progress made it impossible to get anything done lol
Found something very interesting today though... whilst taking the original bumper apart to remove the passenger side piece due to it being damaged i found this...
Stuffed inside the over rider was these 2 pieces of paper not giving it any thought at first i went back to them whilst packing up. Slowly un doing the paper trying ever so hard not to rip it i realised it is from the Melbourne Advertiser Saturday August 4, 1962 Now im not too sure how it got there and why but i find it fascinating. A house in Ivanhoe costs 4850 Pound
Guys refer Parts needed for a list of items that i now require to finish up the resto
Cheers - fingers crossed it will be a bit more productive next weekend

Progress has been minimal partly due to weather and a busy month in july.
Started to reassemble the wheel with what bits i had and realised it appears im missing the horn contact where is it positioned in the assembly and where can i get one from???
Quick splash of paint to freshen things up
Most of the chrome back on the car, gave her a wash to remove a bit of dust and over spray
Experimenting with the chrome rings with black stockies
The ute is off Tuesday to Reservoir Trimmers where Carlo will work his magic on the inside front seat will remain as original is perfect along with door trims, only visors and headlining to be done, with new rubbers brought front and rear windscreens will also go in during this period......... Getting there
Cheers

Kingaz,
When fitting the quarters back in, I found that if you put some tape on the leading edges of the window slot you lessen the chance of chipping your paint. Also remember they are designed to fit and fit tight, So gentle as you go, the hardest part is to push the top rounded corner though the channel to mate with the front of the door frame. Remove the adjusting screw from the base of the seperating pillar so it dosen't catch the paint.
All in all a daunting job but pretty simple after the first one.
