a side note, i probably would have liked side glass but figured to me it wasn't realy worth the trouble, and they probably weren't daily drivers but still go ALOT more use than average driving to work and such actually at one stage the convertable was the only car we had and then we got the morris off brett and they were our only 2 cars 8)

Holier than who?

Why is it that people think I only built show quality cars??
You owned my wifes old Chopped Morris, that was built as a driver! It got a little better as time went on, but it was still a driver

Scotty Harrod worked on a design concept for a chopped two door many years ago, then he and I work on some new ideas and it evolved into two wilder versions.

I wish I was in a position to build it at the moment, or even post pictures of his concepts. They are in a folder somewhere? then I have to master posting pictures.

Spaceace may have a copy of them that he can post.

Looks magic Harko, I wanted to leave the back window in the standard place on my 2 door and chop the a and b pillars about an inch and a half but the bodyman thought it would be too hard ....

Heres the update ,
Image
The body got some bracing,

Then lopped off the main roof section ,
I hopped in the boot on an old Jazzersize mat (from when I used to keep fit :) ) and started to look for a good line to divide the parcel shelf ,boot hinges ,and all the bracing thats factory fitted so I could get the rear screen free ,But it must of either hurt my brain or been real comfy because when my daughter tapped me on the leg I realised I was shleeping
Tomorrow I will set it free but I'll have to maneuvre a spot weld bit in there and try to pick apart those boot hinge braces from the parcel shelf ,weld a little more bracing in to support it so it stays put and go from there, stay tuned on this same bat channel

Are you sure you have enough bracing there Harko

I'll be surpised if it moves, you look like you have done this a few times before.

 :)
When I did the panelvan I didnt put diagonal bracing in so it took me about four hours of trying to pull two points into line with the roof and tack it with the third hand :?
This aint movin....

Thats what I see in EK Jays avatar with the green paint "blacking" out the pillar areas and it looks very 57 pillarlessy :D .

Im on the right track , but to compensate for the curves Im going to lay the rear screen over 1 inch which Im guessing wont be noticable but will seem a little sleeker .
