Ok so with the camera found batteries charged its time for some updated photos all exterior and interior painting is now completed except for the steering column and wheel. tray was sprayed again after a few dints were repaired (should have done it properly the first time) looks alot better than before. Myself and good mates Andy and CC started to piece her back together bonnet, headlights grill and interior parts and as said previous there were many bunnings trips inbetween

Went to the shed tonight to start and work out what to do on the weekend :?: :?: Thought i might tackle the spare wheel door lock while i was out there... for some reason the lock was not working and after unscrewing the back and opening the lock there was a lovely build up of 1960's dirt and gunk

Cleaned the lock gave a quick coat of paint to find that it didn't fit nothing a bit of hammering didn't fix heres the results

Lock pulled apart

Cleaned and Sprayed

A long post but plenty of photos to share, enjoy the pics will hope to have a bit more completed over the weekend

Adam, the ute looks great. Seeing this makes me want to sneak out to the shed and play.
What type of paint did you use on her. It looks sweet.

Thanks for the replies guys

Ratbox i knew this discssion would come up again myself i like the colour behind the grill tried the black the yellow looked better i know many others have different opinons but as we say im the one whos driving it.

Andy dont get me started on that damn exhaust tip, with the spray can top on it now we have no more OHS issues

Malcolm the type of paint is 2pac turned out great for a home resto photos show paint straight off the gun still to be rubbed and polished however has great relection and shine qualities, he paint is Wattle i think ill confirm for ya. Congrats on streetmachine again mate!!!!
