The bonnet catch lives in there, but the plunger doesn’t come down below the support bar.

Thermos are mounted on the back of the radiator. Bonnet catch has already been modified.previously to clear the radiator etc.

So finally decided on where to mount the remote electric water pump. Followed up by mounting both the condensor and trans cooler (still needs a bottom bracket). All up a productive day. side.

So I have sat the guards back on and fitted the bonnet as I wanted to see if the truck style manifold would fit. With little work it will fit easily.
These manifold give a good HP and torque increase over the standard LS manifold. They can also be made to look quite good.

They are the manifolds that come on the LS truck motors. I am trying to get TBSS manifold as they are the best flowing OEM LS manifold due to the long runners and are relatively cheap

So, who knows about doing bumper bars. I am going one piece with no over riders. I would like to know if I have to get all the joints flat and smooth or will the chrome guys do some magic and feel the joints so it becomes a nice smooth surface etc.
I also made some windscreen demister grills, better than paying $80 for a pair.

Hi Simon,
Great work I must say.
In my dealings with chrome plating the guys want a perfect finish so they can dip and collect the folding stuff.
The better you get the steel for them the better the job will turn out. They do grind and polish but that takes time and money. With your talent you should be able to get them pretty good, file finish would net great results.

One piece bumpers will look great. A lot of prep work I suppose, but if you want to get new chrome, be a good way to go for something unique.

4mm ally, jigsaw, battery drill and a file is all it took. Considered getting them milled at work but wanted them done.

Oh, didn't realise there are grilles. Did you use original diffusers underneath?
