That s one place I've not had to repair unless you count swapping entire cowl, A pillars and upper firewall.

It looks as it has had a hit. Can you see where it was all bashed in? Bit of surface rust thrown in for good measure ImageImageImage

You have fun with the door to guard gap maybe. When I did mine I fitted guards, then doors, front gap. Then rear gap. Then fitted inner sills.

Another repair ticked off the list. Also dosed the inside of the seals and any other orifice I could get to with rust converter. ImageImageImage

Great work Taz !!

I've said this before but even though my car was looked after the old girl rusted from the inside out !

Just to make you feel better I did the 2 rear floors, parts of the front floors, the bottom A pillars the front floor bracing both sides, both outer sills (thank Christ the inners were ok) The boot floor and seal areas were replaced and the rear right quarter whole. Phew don't really remember doing it all apart from the 5 or 6 years that ticked by !!!

Anyway your progressing great.

regards Greg

So time to start cleaning all surfaces. Sprayed all bare metal with paintable rust converter then I will look at throwing some primer on.ImageImageImage

Floor pan looks like how the General should have done it.

What is the paintable rust converter you are using? Does it stick to clean steel? Can be painted over with 2k or acrylic etch prime, surfacer?

From memory it recommends to use a oil based primer.
