Cheers :D

I found the rocker covers at Rare Spares the other day while I was looking for other bits and just had to have them.
The motor should fit in without any firewall mods, it has a complete V6 conversions modified front end so should all line up fingers crossed.

After alot of blood, sweat and tears and about 2 hours worth of F*#k^&g B#*t#%d get in there the engine is finally in. :)

What an exercise that was, started mating the gearbox up to the motor Friday afternoon around 4.30pm and started trying to put the engine in the car then went to bed with the Sh#ts around 12am after I couldn't get the friggin thing to line up.

Had another go the next morning by dropping out the subframe and still no luck, finally called up a mate to come over and give me a hand and had it in within a couple of hours.

Just goes to show there are some things you can not do on your own and you need your mates to help out.

You might have had more luck getting the engine in if used both hands to do it, must have been hard with a camera in the other hand  .

That motor looks great in there :D , Trev 8) .

Looking very good SC00BB!! Just can't beat a V8 for looks or sound. Be interesting to see how the exhaust goes compared to the Chev.

Pitty about the firewall

Trev, that might explain why I couldn't do it.

Yes V8EK4US I was not happy about the firewall, but it was my own fault for trying to do it on my own, there were a few choice words said that night.
I will just have to re-paint it, some lessons are harder to learn then others.

The exhaust mainfolds I was going to try and do something similar to what you had done, if you don't mind me stealing your idea.

Been playing some more.:D

trial fitted radiator.

Painted up grill support and bonnet catch, fitted grill bars in and the bloody little tabs broke off on about 6 of them.
I'm sure a few people have had this happen before, anyone got any ideas of how to hold the bars in place without the tabs? I was thinking maybe Sikaflex but if anyone has a better idea i'd like to hear it.

Fitted the grill in place and I'm happy with how it looks. :D
