Thats the sprirt! I've seen bog stock L300 vans smoke both tyres so I never really understood the whole burnout thing. Anyone can do a burnout in any car, but to actually hook up and run a good time. That takes some effort and is far more rewarding and impressive.

Hey Ratbox,

You probably couldn't say anything that would offend me as I have been called a lot worst, every day of the week, its just part of the job.

I don't mind seeing a good burnout or how quick some one can get from a to b but there is a time and a place for everything. (look at what I'm building)

Part of my job with the Queensland Police Service is that I'm a trained accident investigator, and seeing someone destroy there lives or someone elses lives through doing something totally stupid is hard to explain, especially when it comes to explaining to their loved ones when there dead.

Motorsport is fantastic, but its got to be controlled. I enjoy it but I don't support stupit acts.

I must admit, when I was a young bloke I never considered the consequences of the stupid things I did, doing this job now just scares me with what can happen to innocent people.

that's all fair enough, but when you seem to be bragging about it that's when it goes into another catagory. i have mates that are cops so it's not that i'm down on cops i know you have a job to do but you don't have to sound like you enjoy it so much
not trying to be offensive it's just how it came across

The FB still has no mags on it, they are tarnishing in my bedroom somewhere under my mound of socks, however the car will be going in on sat/mon for the new diff to be put in and for it to be lowered, so that it sits 'hell low'. as you know, the rims are 15x6 and 15x7 with fat rubber on the back, iam willing to get some skinnier rubber if the new diff still makes the wheels rub. the plan is for lowered springs in the front, and blocks in the back, and i want to know how low you think i can go. i do not mind sacrificing ride quality if she looks like a snake with her belly on the road:)

so: how low should i get the springs on the front, and how big should the lowering blocks on the back be for a super low stance?

scraping speedbumps here we come:) will post pics when its done. should look nice with 15 inches of rim filling the guard:)

Amod, your the one who has to live with it so lower it as much as you feel comfortable or what ever looks good to you, just make sure you can still steer the thing  ,

Yep its your call as to how low. Remeber there is a legal limit. Mines probably too low as on full lock the front tyres just rub on the guards and the ride is well..... I live with it.

But with 15x6 on the front you may be limited as to how low you can go. Then the next step is to make sure you have nothing hanging below the sills. I don't have any trouble with speed humps and the lowest point is around 110mm.

:) HI guys
i know this is slightly of topic but talking of
burn out's; got me going down memory lane and
just thought id share this little story with you
I was a passenger in my mates very worked
HQ 2 door monaro (308) we had just left home
and pulled up a intersection and were waiting
patiently to turn right after a few minutes; finally
a gap and he let it rip we done the full trafic stopper
smoke to the top of the power lines burn out this went
for about 30 meters to the next intersection where
MR police man was waiting to turn right he then very
calmly followed us pulling us over; walked up to
the car window massive :D and before he could get
2 words out burst out laughing ; so did we he
then said have you got your licience there ;and my mate
said no its in my wallet; cop said well were's your
wallet; at home my mate said ; cop couldnt help
but laugh again he then gave us a big lecture
how you could lose your car doing that now and
let him off with a freindly warning 8) 8) 8) a couple
weeks later i was driving back from the gf's house at
about 1am when lights flash behind me it was the same
cop when i asked him what was the problem he said no
problem I just wanted to check out your ek '' nice'' he said
ive got one mysef only a ute; i didnt think he reckonised
me but after giving it the once over he said no BURN OUT'S
' A' then drove off good blokes i reckon :!: 8)
