yeah saw the vid on bookface, when I am setting wipers up I put a cable tie on trhe shaft rather than the wiper arm , gives you a good idea of sweep area etc and cant damage anything if things go awry.........

Some more goodies arrived courtesy of Super cheap boxing day sale.
Started on the rust repair of the rear LH quater panel. Someone had done a nice boy job on it.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Nice goodies.
The inner boot panel looks good so funny they botched the beaver. Maybe the boot never leaked like mine did.
Keep at it mate.

Inner boot panel is a genuine replacement panel I fitted today. I got it off a member. He had both sides, been in storage with some surface rust. Was money well spent.

Today's effort, LH side inner which already has the rear quater replaced. Fabbed up a new fill in section for the bottom of the beaver panel as well.No shrinking machine here, just the good old hammer and dolly.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Well I finally got some time to work on the car. So got the drivers side rear quaters and inner 100% done and passenger side 90% done. Also fitted a new section to the bottom of the beaver panel. Not much left to do now.ImageImageImage

Good to see you're still at it Taz and nearly there with the sheet metal work. What's the plan from here, going to progress paint prep?

Apparently there is a mobile blasting guy in Hobart now so I might get a price from him and then get all underneath and structural sections done and then stick some undercoat on it before getting the engineer in for a look.

I want to get as much done why it is on the rotisserie as possible. So brake.lines, fuel lines aircon pipes wiring etc.
Once the engineer looks at it I will stone guard all underneath areas. Then paint or powder coat all the suspension etc before assembling and putting back on its wheels.

I have some big ticket items to buy, probably 10k or more to get it running, do the interior, wiring etc.

Ummm hope the wife does not read this post ImageImage

Body and paint well, it will live in primer for a while as I want to get it on the road and get all the bugs out of it before doing the body and final paint.

The patina look is appealing.

You want to seal up all that good work with something non porous living where you do

All new panels get weldable copper coat in between welded sections. That is the copper colour on the panels and all other areas are stripped back with a wire wheel and then have rust converter / paintable sealer in one applied. I then give it a dose of converter along any seams when finished.
