Started on last door today. Bit of rough primer on yesterdays job. Will be fine I think.
First photos of passenger door just primed. Then worst of rust delights on drivers side to do. ImageImageImage

Thanks Clay.
Finished last door rust work today. Most difficult repair by far. Multiple pieces welded together to get the shape. Lead wiped it just for fun. ImageImageImage

I'm sure you're being careful with that lead. Very handy skills to have. Where did you learn them?

Worked for a panel beater in my youth Clay. I haven't used it on rest of the car: Bog is easier but was feeling adventurous today.
There were 32 scattered holes to fill in this door, plus the messy corner. I'm well over doors! Be glad to soon have it in primer later today to add to the other 3. Thank goodness I've got two rust free ute doors to use for the next car.
Guard work for rest of week.

I thought all FB/EK doors had the drain hole, and a fancy drain tube (?):

So did I. Maybe filled up previously or is it an original door? I’ve got a nos door on the van. Will have to have a look. Well done getting a nos drain tube Harv. They tend to be dried out so I try not to touch them.

I'd say you were on the money Clay. There was a fair bit of brass in that area so maybe an over zealous previous repair. The question is- is it worth making a hole or not? Does anyone sell the tubes?

Gland nut, rubber tube and shrink wrap. What I'm doing with my Bosch headlight wiring tails.

Well, Wilma won't be finished before xmas now. Drilled through big finger instead of spot weld as planned. 8 weeks for tendon surgery to heal. Can't see anything much happening one handed 🤣

Ouch... not good. I've drilled myself a coupled of times, but thankfully done nothing worse than letting out some claret.

I've got two of those door drain tubes - I you want them, PM me an address and I'll throw them into the post for you.

Cheers,
Harv

I hate it when that happens !!!!

Nothing worse than sore hands or fingers !

Where can you get those drain tubes from apart from Harv's shop ?
