Very, very sexy hinges. 8)

Looks like they have a lot more room to allow a bigger booster on the firewall too.

Cheers,
Harv

VE Commodore boot hinges. I put a post earlier which showed how I modified them.

Well it's rotisserie time. Had good conversation with the engineer last night about what he requires to meet certification. I have some mag particle testing of welds to do as well as load testing via 3D modeling of the chassis.
Should not be any issues that he can see with getting the vehicle fully signed off.ImageImage

Very cool taz. Bit new school modelling chassis. Will it be scanned to point cloud? or maybe photogrammetric modelling, which you could probably do on a smart phone come to think of it.

Great work TAZ,

Its good that your engineer has an open mind, most would be to scared to even consider looking at such modifications let alone pass it.

Its funny, I had a full factory chassis car that would continually crack yet it passed rego every year with a new weld applied.

The inspector would always say don't make like this any more :wink34: :wink34: :wink34: :wink34: :wink34:

I love the exhaust loops.

Regards Greg

I am going to provide him a drawing with all the measurements and then he will create a 3D drawing etc.

Yeah, I don't know. You see all these cars getting around with way more mods than mine and they get passed. What I have done is no different to any hotrod getting around except the hotrods for some reason are able to get their own category with less stricter regulations.

Yep, chassis was done by previous owner although I had to redo some of the work.

Taz that is a work of art mate and if you don’t pass engineering then I’m afraid a lot of us must be way off the mark 😳
