Thought I'd post some more up to date pictures of my engine after finishing of tube work for fuel, vacuum, and coolant lines. I'll try put up another of the drivers side of the engine.

Thanks Blacky.
Yours took my fancy a bit and a lot of others at the Nats looked fantastic. Now I'm keen to get my ute done......although I have to finish the FB and the boat and buy a house and move and...................................
There's never enough hours in day when your home.
Anyway I've sent more trim samples off to the States. My recent dilemma is I've now discovered that somewhere in time they have had a production change with the widths of the rear seat back (upper section). I have two different bolster sets from different cars and they are different in width and there's no way it could be made up in assembly or the fabric could be stretched that far. The frames must have been slightly narrower.

Anyone else come across this??

Vinyl, new vinyl especially, can stretch a lot. Considering it is across the width of the seat you can expect to stretch the vinyl quite a bit, 20mm to 40mm in the extreme.

Thanks Stinky yes I agree new vinyl can stretch a lot. My comparison is of two trim sets that are as old as the car i.e. they've had all the stretching that they will ever get and are now quite aged and stiff. With that in mind the measured difference is quite a lot between the two.
I think when I get these seats redone with my new trim I'll do some measuring when they are stripped and compare to another old one I have. I'm still dubious and wonder if they made some adjustment in manufacture to allow easier fitment of the rear seat to prevent damage to the headlining. I know from experience in the past that some are real tight to get in and can grab on the headlining side sections.

Its been a long time between road trips but we've managed to finally get away for a day now that we have done our house move.
We spent the day cruising up to Dargo and the surrounding areas with a stop at the pub...of course. Spot of the day was by the Wonnangatta River just out of Dargo.
We've also started to tackle these new fangled Gopro camera things and now have to work out to edit all the footage.......the good wife might sort that....I hope!

G'day Bill, thanks for the comment. We're still working on our video of the trip......a bit each day as this editing thing has a lot in it.
Yes we are enjoying the change and the area. We've both have never travelled out this way so we are keen to see so much more. I'm thinking of a trip on the Great Alpine Way over to Mt Beauty and on to Lake Hume we're we can do some stuff with our boat when its done. The change in life style from the city has been what I really needed. Hope all's we'll down at Drouin.

Beautiful part of the world craig. Omeo through to bright is very nice, might be a bit slow towing the boat behind the fb though!
