I've spoken to Rat on the phone.Interpretation problem between my interpretation of what rat wrote about my cars and rat's intention of what he was trying to say.
Issue now resolved amicably.

no motor and the chassis number will have to wait until I get back there again, this vehicle was used as a shooting bus with the back half of the roof cut out.

edit Dave that special you are wrecking you dont know who the original owner was do you (long shot) it has a fleet/special order paint job Calder Red and I dont know the top code

Can't help you. Don't know how long the guy had it for before we got our grubby hands on it
Ithink it was a while, but the colour you see is not the orginal I think as he resprayed it at sometime.

just an update on the colours for Dave,
Warren Turnbull informed me that,
182 is Bright Red which was later called Calder Red and applied to commercial vehicles in the 70's
and 143 is Biscuit
