Re: FB wagon
Looks the goods Trev!! Great idea with the lowering the rear end...I didn't think of that at all
.... bump stops are over rated and are made long so they can be trimmed to suit

Re: FB wagon
DR what diff housing do you have ? if it's EJ,EH,HD,HR with the round peaked bumpstops on the housing instead of the factory ones that bolt to the body, i do the same with them as i do with the fronts cut them down then grind them back to a peak
Re: FB wagon
Picked it up today, drove it home (87 km) and it didn't miss a beat, the diff is very noisy but the engine ran greatparisian62 wrote:glad to hear you got the engine sorted...doesn't sound like you had to open your wallet at all...!

and it wasn't enough
Re: FB wagon
EJ, but silly me welded on the EK brackets to use the standard EK bumpstops. I've got an extra leaf for each side thanks to Trev so I'll see how we go. Its dropped over an inch since its been on the road....ratbox wrote:DR what diff housing do you have ? if it's EJ,EH,HD,HR with the round peaked bumpstops on the housing instead of the factory ones that bolt to the body, i do the same with them as i do with the fronts cut them down then grind them back to a peak

Yep she was oiled up, replaced the wheel bearings last night and she's still singing like a bird, so I'll replace the center next, Trevratbox wrote:did you put oil in the diff ? i did that once cept i never put the centre in just after i put the car togeather i never checked how much oil was in the diffand it wasn't enough
