Rosco, Just used VHT rattle can quick coat enamel (flat black) over an acrylic primer. Seems to match the old paint, time will tell if it was the right thing to do :)

Yep,there would probably be enough earth along other engine metal to body metal interconnections to not need the extra earth lead but having one wouldn't be detrimental.
