My EK Project

Post by maurice1 »

This is my EK project , one pannel at a time, no need to do anything else otherwise it will never get done
so i had a plan  , i made my list of things i want and gave it to the bank mannager in the house and i was verry cunning about it  , the list can be used for birthdays , fathers day , and other events during the year
and now the fun begins.

Looks good Maurice, very neat job.

Are the replacement sections from rares? I'm doing exactly the same in a few weeks, hopefully. I've got to make some room in my shed first.
Cheers

Jason

inner frame and rare spares

Post by maurice1 »

the inner frame will be put back in, the parts did come fom rare spares but they need a little modification  , first the replaicement part is made a little to wide, you will be able to see for your self when you get one, take a look at th swage line and the distace between the origional and the new is wider, the other is the bolt section is not made so you have to take the old one off and glue it to the new part ,last is there is a big pucker that needs to be fixed :( but at least it is a start.
I dont know about you fellas but i try to limmit myself to rare spares, i have had many comments back from there mannagement about half door skins and parts that were made and now are not, makes it hard to get your beast on the road
did find on ebay a fella that makes parts rare spares dont
