The car was given to me by a mate who used to drive it around Canberra as a daily driver. When he switched to a modern car, he gave the running registered ute to another guy, who sold out the motor and gearbox, ripped out the wiring and generally just dismantled the whole thing.
Anyway, by a turn of events the ute needed a new home and so went back to my mate who then gave it to me
The body is in great shape, a few little dents but basically no rust. I bought a grey motor and rebuilt it with new rings, timing gear etc etc.
I have resprayed the car just how I like it, and rewired it completely. Unfortunately I don't have any before shots because today was the first time I ever had a digital camera up at the shed.
So all thats left is to put the rest back together, add water pump, manifolds, exhaust (not sure how to go about this yet) and a few odd and ends.
Anyway, I took a few pics today. and yes there is some modification to the rear or the cab. It is like an extra cab I guess. Was like this right through when my mate was driving it around. I don't mind it actually because you have some storage space behind the seat.
